The Blue Man series comes up whenever I am emotionally or spiritually drained and have little motivation to create art.
I find it is then that I create works devoid of ego. The information I have gathered about how to create a convincing market ready image becomes irrelevant, which in most cases I would be what robs me off the will to create.
Working from expertise requires pre-set conditions to be satisfied for the work to be performed, but working from intuition allows for a larger degree of vulnerability and honesty.
We live in a world of information on "how to in five days or less" that we are at risk of living in pseudo reality where authentic living dies out.
Blue is a calming and sobering colour.
