In the luxurious and opulent surroundings that envelop my subjects, I seek to emphasize the deserving sense of self-worth that has often been obscured throughout history.
The subjects of these works stand as embodiments of femininity and resilience, transcending the limitations imposed by societal norms and historical constraints. The environments in which these regal black women dwell symbolize a reclaiming of spaces that are rightfully theirs, a celebration of prosperity, and an assertion of presence in spaces that have been traditionally denied.
The artworks represent an endeavor to elevate the stories and experiences of black women to a heightened plane of awareness, prompting viewers to acknowledge, celebrate, and embrace the radiant power that resides within us all.
